Experienced GM for opening of new upscale Chinese Restaurant - Sister Restaurant to The AmsterdamHudson Valley-focused hospitality enterprise seeks an inspired and notably experienced GM with a successful track record, to launch upscale-casual Chinese concept featuring popular cuisine in picturesque Rhinebeck, NY.Join a successful local entrepreneur/real estate investor/operator and the highly acclaimed Executive Chef behind The Amsterdam, as we build a new team and expand into a beautiful, recently purchased property previously the home to The Local and Catch 38, just around the corner from The Amsterdam.Candidates must have previously been a GM or AGM ready for a move to the next level. At least 5-years experience required in upscale/casual fine dining, with a range of proven skills and capabilities working in demanding, hospitality-focused operations known for enlightened service, firm operational controls and dynamic team cultures that deliver outstanding business results. This position is ideal for a professional ready to step into a lead FOH management role and steward ia 100+ seat dining room (+PDR) into a thriving, hospitality-at-its-soul enterprise committed to guest delight and operational excellence, in close partnership with Founder and Culinary leader.You joyously embrace the challenge, expectations and energy that go into the opening of a new restaurant; where you will lead by example and build a bespoke FOH team of inspired talent, enabled by core values and superior operational by systems to drive team performance.Most importantly, you will have proven yourself a superb leader, with a record of increasing responsibilities that have honed your service skills, while crafting a personal brand as cultural leader, coach and consummate professional.
